Rocket Piano is a very professionally done piano lesson package. It includes a number of ebooks, audio tracks, and video tracks to support the instructional material. In addition, there's a ton of extras, all extremely well-done, and described below. The product is simple to download, and is perfectly paced for the introductory piano student. It runs on Windows and Macs, so it doesn't matter what kind of computer you have. In a word, if you want to learn to play, you'd be nuts to pass on this.
Rocket Piano provides all the basic information you'll need to get started in the right direction. It has the most complete description of how to sit at the piano that I've come across so far. You get the idea very easily from the included diagram that shows the proper position for your head, back, arms, and legs. Pay attention students! There's nothing worse than seeing a beginning player struggling because of a slouch or being too high or too low in relation to the keyboard. The package continues with an explanation of proper hand position, and dispels the popular myth that you need very long fingers to play...

Here's what one student said... "The course is outstanding. I have tried and tried, but I cannot come up with a single way you could improve this course, other than to offer a Learn & Master Piano Part II! Will is an awesome teacher - he is easy to understand and he hits on so many important elements of learning to play the piano while also making it a lot of fun! I was thrilled to see Suzy Bogguss singing "Someone to Watch Over Me" as I personally am a huge fan! It is evident how much time and attention to detail went into producing this course, and how much Will's students' needs are considered, and I for one am very impressed!

Piano For All takes a non-traditional approach to teaching you how to play. It starts with showing you how to play basic rhythms with basic chords so you can be playing your favorite songs in a prety short time. No Bach or Mozart here to start with anyway. Think about playing your favorite Elton John or Beatles song on the piano. The first section includes 15 separate videos and 101 separate audio tracks to show you how. Very cool.
Piano For All is broken down into 10 separate "books" that each cover a different topic. Book 3, for example, teaches you more about chords and some of the tricks you need to know to play chords at song speed - called inversions - which are just different ways of playing a given shord that makes switching from one chord to another faster and easier. Good stuff. The quicker you learn to play you rchords the happier you'll be. When you get to the order page you'll see that you can even buy the books separately - so even if you have only a couple of bucks to invest, you can still get started with this package.
Book 6 gets you started with some jazz basics like blues scales and some standard riffs and runs that you 'll add to as you progress. Book 7 introduces some improvisation techniques and more blues tricks to beef up the introduction you got in Book 6.
And the classics aren't forgotten in this package either. After you've gotten some solid rhythm and chord experience under your belt, Book 8 shows you how to read music (at this point - it pretty easy for you.) Once you can read sheet music a whole world of new music is opened up to and you can play anything that's printed. I spend hours myself just paging through classical collections and slowly picking out the right hand to explore the piece.
